Statistic shows that 90% of new business fail within firts 5 years and 90% of the 10% that survive fail within 5th to 10th year. Only 2 main reason for a fail business (lack of money, lack of business skill)

Four main skills an entrepreneur must have:- 

1. Sales
2. Accounting
3. Investing
4. Leadership

Among the 4 skills mentioned above, the most important skill is Sales. Without sales, there is no need for the remaining three skills as there is no opportunity to use them.

Follow by Leadership skill. Many business fail due to they are unable to put together a strong team to do the impossible to make business a success.

Code of Honor:

Code of Honor is a set of rules or principles which is leading or influencing a community. Code of Honor will be the foundation of a culture of any organization. Code of Honor is the heart and soul of every team member.

We need to create a set of Code of Honor whereby all the players (team members) should know the rules and do nto interpret it in different way. The players (team members) must understand the rules and commit themselves to respecting it.

11-May-09 6.45am, wake up and does no see Seong Seong besides me. Thinking that he might be wake up earlier and doing some of his work at living room. When I walk out of bedroom, I smell a freshly baked cake and I saw Seong Seong standing infront of me holding a freshly baked chocolate birthday cake for me. Feel so happy and suprise. I guess he must have wake up 1 hour ago just to get all these ready for me. Thank you very much Seong Seong.

Let’s see how the chocolate cakes looks like.

So, looks nice right. Home made cake – looks like those birthday cakes from professional cake house right? He manage to achieve one of his goal for this year which is learn to bake a cake.

Then we go to office as usual.

I was busy with daily office work and busy with some webinar which is launching today. I had fried teow chew noodle for lunch together with Seong Seong and some colleague.

When I was on the 3rd webinar today, my team start to sing Birthday song and is dedicated to me. Although I’m still on webinar, but feel not good if I ignore them by just continue with the webinar (lucky I’m not the webinar presenter, just one of the attendee). Therefore, I have walk down to see what they trying to do. To my suprise, they did nothing when I walk down. All of them just continue their work like nothing happen.

They bully me. Never mind la they sing such a loud birthday song for me. I continue to listen to the webinar and a while later, they sing birthday song again. And they sign twice this time. Not sure whether I shall go down again this time. So, just walk to the end of the mazernine floor and look down and seems like many other collegue are all gather together at our department and waiting for me. Hemm, this time is real one d kua. haha.

Haha, this time is real one. When i walk down the staircase, Avian suddenly stand up hiding beside the partition and hold up a birthday cake for me. Wow, white color cream with a lot of chocolate and some strawberry on top if it. Thank you everyone for the cake. I like it so much.

We have taken some group photo in the office together with the cake.

Guess what, one of the biggest challenge I had today is to cut the cake into 40+ pieces to be given out to everyone in the office. I’m sorry if some of the cakes slices were not properly cut and some are in larger size and some are really small pieces. Paiseh Paiseh.

After work, I went for dinner with Seong. Not sure where to go actually. Suddenly think of OXO. We saw their advertisement somewhere sometime ago and then we decided to give it a try. Some picture to share with everyone here.

The overal envronment of the restaurant is good. Unfortunately, I got 3 moisquito bite during my dinner and there is 1 fly which keep flying around our food which is very annoying.

After that we go for some windows shopping in QB. Bought a book for CK (learning on colors). Bought a cup of Dark Berry Mocha from StarBuck as recommended by the waitress as new product. It taste a bit weird where coffee combined with berry, but still acceptable. haha.

Reach home around 10pm. Taken a bath. Wow, feel so comfortable after the bath. Continue birthday program by watching DVD at home. Movie title: All well ends well (家有喜事 2009). This is a funny movie. I like it so much. I enjoy it so much. As always, I like comedy. Comedy makes me feel happier and forget all the unhappy thing.

This suppose is CNY movie and only watch it now. A bit out dated hor.

What’s next? You are right, I start to write this blog post only after watching the movie. Is kind of late, so just very brief descrition.

Overall, I’m so happy with all the thing happen today. Yeah, 1 year older now but doesn’t matter, as long as I have a young mind set, I’m always young.

Thank you again to everybody for all the arrangement for today. I love you all so much. My life will not be so perfect without all of you.

On 11-May-08 (Yes, is year 2008, your eye is still OK and I’m still awake although is 11+pm now) I celebrated my first Mother’s Day + first Birthday which fall on the same day as Mother’s Day and I celebrated it both in Taiping and also in Sitiawan. This is one of the most special day in my life.

This year, Mother’s Day fall on 10-May-09 which is a day prior to my birthdate as mentioned in “Home Made Mother’s Day Cake“.

This is my second Mother’s Day + Birthday celebration. I celebrated it in Sitiawan with my daughter – Chyi (my first kid) and my son – Kang (my second kid). I got a very nice and tasty chocolate cake from Seong Seong + a Mother’s Day cake (for all mom – Seong Seong’s mom + his sister).

It was a simple Mother’s Day celebration where we sign Happy Birthday Song for me and we all sing “世上只有妈妈好” for all the mom. Follow up blowing the candle follow up eating the cakes.

My Mother’s Day wish: Secret. Cannot tell.

I think all the mom have almost the same wishes. Hahaa.

Yoh Yoh !!! Mother’s Day is just around the corner. This year Mothers’s Day drop on 10-May-09 which is 1 day earlier than my birthday. I will forever remember that I celebrated my very first Mother’s Day last year with my daughter and co-incidently, Mother’s Day for year 2008 fall on 11-May-09 which is my birth date.

After work today, me and Seong Seong went to one of the minimarket located in Jalan Terengganu to buy some milk powder for my baby Kang as adeline recommended that the milk powder sold there is cheap. Really, is true, the price is lower compare to others.

Then on our way home, we drop by Giant Hypermarket to buy some ingrdient to bake our own cakes for my mom and her mom for Mother’s day celebration.

We baked 2 different type of cake this time for 2 mom. Due to running out of time, we bought those pre-mixed cake ingredient. Did not really take picture for the whole process as I’m lazy. Only requested Seogn Seong to help me take picture when everything is done.

So, how is the 2 cakes above looks? Looks delicious? Anyone wish to order them?

We spend total of around 2 hours in completing the 2 cakes as we have only 1 oven where we can bake only 1 cake at a time. Not sure is this consider as fast or slow. For us as a beginner, I think is almost that level la.

Although me and Seong Seong work in the same company same office, we are always busy with own work most of the time. At home too, we are both busy looking at our laptop most of the time. Me and Seong Seong really enjoy the time we spend preparing and baking cakes together.

Hope our mom like these cakes. Hehe.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom around the world (including myself).

Today morning got little bit of cough. Just few sound of cough only.

Then lunch hour went back home to pay maintenance fee during lunch hour. Since already drive out, me and Seong Seong went to BJ to eat the best “tai lok mee” in Penang at a coffee shop near BJ.

May be due to in and out and in and out from the car and having cold and hot and cold and hot temperature, when I back to office, a bit not feeling well. Feel like a bit running nose.

Haha, so many people claim I’m infected by Swine Flu. Hahah.

Swine flu is normally virulent only in pigs, but it is now crossed over to humans.

Symptoms of swine flu are having

• fever
• cough
• sore throat
• vomitting
• diarrhea
• headache
• chills

In case of you having any of the above symptoms, better to check it out before too late.

Just got to know from my neighbour that there are few break-in within this few days inself in Pearl Garden. The committee of Pearl Garden has called for an emergency meeting tonight around 8.30pm to discuss on what we can do to prevent all these continue to happen.

They do mention that the same case happen past 3 years where there are few break-ins happen very closely. After the few cases, everything went back to peaceful environment.

All the cases happen this time was when the house owner went out only for 1 to 2 hours time and it was did in a very professional way. The thieves does not cut your padlock, they cut the padlock holder where you join both side of yoru door together. The thieves never break any of your wooden door as well.

According to police after these few cases, police suspected that there is a very high chances or possibility where all these cases were done by internal people. Might be the guard, might be any worker working inside, might be the resident themself.

Police do mention that these group of thieves might just rent a unit in Pearl Garden, then survey all the condition around and teh resident in/out timing. Once they are ready, they will go ahead with their project for few unlucky unit. Once project done, they will move out and rent at another place and repeat the same thing.

The committe has annouced that there will be some precaution steps to be taken in the future like installing CCTV, installing security access system to access to each of the block, restudying all the securty guard’s background, encourage resident to report immediately to security guard in case of found any unfamiliar faces wondering around, etc

However, all the resident were adviced to temporarily add additional padlock, or put a door clamp for self defense purpose where we can actually do all these immediately without much cost.

I just hope by sharing this post will increase the awareness of anyone to be more careful in taking care of your own property, get to know your neighbour well to at least work together to help each other when you are not around.
