Worst Sushi King RM2 Bonanza

Posted by: popoyan  /  Category: Misc

I have joined Sushi King as their member since few years back.

I have been receiving their booklet periodically and I’m informed about some quizes, and member privilege through their booklet. I joined as Sushi King member as I like their sushi so much. By joining as their member, I can enjoy some discount every time I have my meal there. The the most excited thing about being Sushi King member is that they will have RM2 Bonanza day where we are able to enjoy each of their sushi plate at flat rate of RM2 regardless of what color of the plate.

As usual, I renewed my membership with them this year. But, not sure why, I did not receive any of the above mentioned booklet (cut cost?). I went into Sushi King website and not able to find any information about this “Sushi King Card RM2 Bonanza” as well. Are they hoping that no body know about this so so that lesser people come for this promotion?

I went to Sushi King Queensbay Mall today evening to celebrate my Seong Seong’s birthday. We left office right after work around 5.15pm and reach there around 5.30pm. There is already some queue which is expected as today is last day of their promotion. We saw 2 of our colleague there but we went in on different time and different table.

I saw that the Unagi was served (around 5.45pm) before we manage to went into the restaurant. Aiyoh, really wasted. That is our main target. Normal price for this Unagi is RM6 per plate and we can get it at RM2 per plate today. Imagine, how much saving is that.

Is our turn. Me and Seong Seong entered happily to the restaurant, taken our place and the waitress served us with green tea. We are sharing tables with another couple. We started to look around on the running belt to look for our preferred sushi. Unfortunately, sushi that left on the running belt are all of the same type and not those that I like. Is alright, we just wait for a while to see if there is any newly prepared sushi come out.

I feel like the chef is really “slow hand slow leg”, waited for for some time and did not see new sushi being serve on the running belt. Even is serve also is only few plate where it has been taken by those sitting near the chef. Those sitting slightly further will never have chance to grab any of those new plate served. we are a bit disappointed.

Never mind, Sushi King setup a “pickup point” where we can wait there to collect some sushi. Seong Seong went to the pickup point to wait for some sushi to be serve there, however, non of the chef serve any sushi at the pickup point. The chef simply put all the sushi plat everywhere except the pick up point. I’m really curious what is the purpose they setup this pickup point but did not serve anything here. They might as well put 2 chairs there and let additional 2 client to eat which is better for themself and better for the crowd waiting outside.

All the sushi served today are mainly from Blue color plate (RM2/plate), Beige color plate (RM3/plate) and pink color plate (RM4/plate), even Red color plate (RM5/plate) serving is so little. Me and Seong Seong consumed total of 5 x Beige color plate, 8 x pink color plate and 2 x red color plate (total = 15 plates).

Anyone realise that we did not consume any of purple color plate (RM6/plate) this time? why?

We saw the purple plate were served before we manage to enter (we entered around 5.50pm) and we leave the restaurant around 7.00pm and not even 1 purple color plate sushi were served. Just imagine. Cut cost also not in this way kua.

On top of that, I feel that the staff on duty we re rude while serving the client today. When their staff serving the sushi plate onto the running belt, they did nto slowly and politely put down the plate, they are rough and cause a lot of king kiang king kiang sound when the plate touches the belt. Even worst is that 2 of the cover of the plate fall to my back when they placing those plate onto the running belt.

All the above condition make us have no mood to continue eating. We just walk call the waitress to count the total plate and update our bill in order for us to pay the bill at casher. When I’m at the counter, I asked for a feedback form about thir service and the casher telling me that they do not have it. OK. Fine.

I just simply tell the casher that my overall experience is not good and the casher tend to ignore my feedback and stay quiet without saying any single word. Not even “Sorry” is mentioned. Feel like wanna tell her “I wanna talk to your manager”. hahahaha. This is how our client always treat us.

Hope this feedback can reach any of the top management of Sushi King so that they can take into consideration for things that can be improved in the future.
